My Years at Wincle School

I remember my first day at Wincle School sitting in front of Mrs Mountford, with butterflies in my tummy, as she took the register.  There were only two of us when I started just Rosie and I but I soon got into the swing of things.  On one occasion, when I was really small, I couldn’t open the door to get into the bathroom, (I can’t believe I was that small!)

A few years ticked by, but then Mrs Loughlin arrived and peace was shattered (but in a good way).  She made us work hard and if our handwriting wasn’t neat or up to standard she made us do it again but soon it became normal and part of our school day.  (Our handwriting improved 100% though).

The next school I am going to is King’s, which I am really looking forward to.  I have already made some new friends one of them is Becky, which I look forward to seeing when I start in September.  But I will never forget my friends at Wincle School who are Johanna, Kyrrie, Rachael, Daisy, Cathy, Hollie, Hannah and Fleur who unfortunately has moved to Scotland.

When I leave I will miss going on school trips and going on the Wincle Walk with Mr Ives.  I will especially miss ‘It’s a Knock-out,’ and Carolyn’s delicious dinners.

I have finished my last year at Wincle School by going on a trip to Conway.  I thoroughly enjoyed it and didn’t want to come home.

I would like to say a big thank you to all the teachers for helping me to succeed my very best in my school work, I will miss all of you when I leave.

I remember my first day at Wincle School, I was soooo… nervous!  I remember Mrs Mountford had to leave because we had to get use to another teacher Mrs Loughlin (which we still haven’t done!)

Everyone got use to having new teachers around but then new children started piling in and I know just how they felt.

I will miss Carolyn’s gorgeous dinners a lot.  I suppose I will miss Mrs Spencer, Mrs Loughlin, Mrs Cogan and all the other teachers.

I wish all schools did ‘IT’S A KNOCK OUT’ because I think it’s a really fun idea and I’m going to miss it.

I will also miss visiting the Conway Centre since I had tons of fun raft building, rock climbing, doing the night line and messing about with my best friends, Lauren, Kyrrie, Rachael, Fleur, Daisy, Catherine, Hollie and Hannah.

Sadly Fleur has left to live in Scotland but I bet she is having lots of fun and she can still phone and write.

I would like to say a massive THANK YOU to Mrs Spencer, Mrs Loughlin, Mrs Cogan and Mrs Jones for helping me to achieve a fantastic SATs result and making sure I had a great time at Wincle.

I am going to miss everyone a lot, even the teachers.   I am sad about leaving but excited to go to a new school because I can meet new people and teachers.
